وَلا تَأكُلوا مِمّا لَم يُذكَرِ اسمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسقٌ وَإِنَّ الشَّياطينَ لَيوحونَ إِلىٰ أَولِيائِهِم لِيُجادِلوكُم وَإِن أَطَعتُموهُم إِنَّكُم لَمُشرِكونَ
And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him].
It is narrated in a hadith from Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him): “And there is no day like the day of Hussein (peace be upon him), when thirty thousand men gathered around him, claiming that they were from this nation, each seeking to draw closer to Allah Almighty through his blood, and he would remind them of Allah, but they would not heed until they killed him out of transgression, injustice, and enmity.”
